Alhaji Hamisu Gambo, Ɗanlawan Katsina, a former Chairman of Katsina Local Government and one time member of the House of Representatives, has transitioned into a successful entrepreneur, making significant contributions to the education sector in Katsina. With the establishment of five different higher institutions, Ɗanlawan Katsina is set to create employment opportunities and empower the youth in the region.
Ɗanlawan Katsina's entrepreneurial journey began with the establishment of a School of Nursing Sciences, complete with a hospital, which aims to produce highly skilled healthcare professionals. This initiative is expected to address the shortage of qualified nursing staff in the region, while simultaneously creating employment opportunities in Katsina State.
In addition to the School of Nursing Sciences, Ɗanlawan Katsina has also established a School of Health Technology. This institution will provide specialized training for individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare technology. By equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge, this school will contribute to the improvement of healthcare services in the region.
Furthermore, Ɗanlawan Katsina's entrepreneurial endeavors extend to the establishment of a School of Higher Education. This institution, which offers diploma courses in education, is affiliated with Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria. By providing access to higher education, the School of Higher Education aims to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their respective fields.
Recognizing the importance of vocational skills in today's rapidly evolving job market, Ɗanlawan Katsina has also established a School of Vocational Training. This institution will offer courses in various skills such as GSM repairs; CCTV installation and maintenance; solar installation; as well as computer hardware repairs and maintenance, thereby equipping young individuals with practical skills that will make them self-reliant. Notably, the School of Vocational Training will also introduce journalism courses, providing aspiring journalists, especially social media enthusiasts, with the opportunity to develop their skills and contribute to the media industry.
Looking ahead, Ɗanlawan Katsina has plans to establish a School of Agriculture, offering diploma courses in affiliation with ABU Zaria. This initiative aims to promote agricultural development in the region and create employment opportunities for individuals interested in pursuing a career in agriculture.
Ɗanlawan Katsina's commitment to reducing unemployment in Katsina is commendable.
